Adventures await this March Break at the ROM! Explore art, culture and nature with our amazing family activities, special exhibitions, and permanent galleries.

With daily activities, March Break at the ROM has fun for families and friends of all ages and interests!

From March 14 to 22, discover over 30,000 species that feed on blood in the ROM-original exhibition Bloodsuckers, experience the magical world of a beloved bear and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, or delight in some of the world’s most stunning wildlife photography.

Let your imagination run free in over 30 galleries of art, culture, and nature as the world comes to life before your eyes. Celebrate March Break at the ROM with fun for families and friends of all ages and interests!

March 14 to 22, 10 am to 5:30* pm – Yes, we’re open Monday, March 16!
*Extended Hours 5:30-8:30 pm, March 17 for 3rd Tuesday Nights Free, presenting sponsor TD Bank Group

March Break Activities

Step into the world of Pooh and Piglet as the ROM’s Bronfman Hall is transformed into the Hundred Acre Wood activity zone and take your March Break to the next level with excitement for all ages.

Natural History of Winnie-the-Pooh – Meet ROM Experts in Botany, Entomology, Herpetology, Mammalogy, Minerology, Mycology, Ornithology , Palaeontology and more “Ologies” to learn about the Hundred Acre Wood.

Beyond Pooh’s World – A few steps outside Pooh’s home, explore real-life stories that have inspired ROM Experts to share rarely seen objects and specimens from different cultures around the world.

A Wild Time! – Get up close and personal with wildlife from around the globe with our friends from Hands On Exotics.

Creature Corner: Sciensational Sssnakes!! – Get to know to amazing snakes and other incredible creatures.

Northern Owls – Fix your gaze on these mystical birds of prey and discover more about incredible Owls.

Seeds in Disguise: The Biology and Lore of Ornamental Seeds – Seeds are all around us: we eat them, plant them and sometimes even wear them. Find out more about ornamental seeds and how they are “disguised” in jewelry, trinkets and more.

ROM Storytime – Join ROM Teachers and enjoy readings from their favourite nature inspired stories.

Nature Misunderstood – Explore touchable specimens from some of the most misunderstood creatures on the planet. From earwigs to bats to sharks, we’ll take you on a wild adventure that will dispel many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding these fascinating animals.

Winnie’s Famous Faces – Be transformed into your favourite Winnie-the-Pooh character by our amazing face painting artist.

Marking Art Together – Get creative in our buzzworthy hive of communal art—fun for the whole family!

ROM Quest – Seek out and discover some of the remarkable highlights from ROM Galleries? Compete with friends and family in this fun challenge from the ROM Friends of Earth & Space, Friends of Textiles and Friends of the Canadian Collections.

Meet Winnie – Don’t miss Winnie-the-Pooh’s official March Break appearance! Get your picture taken with Winnie at our Hundred Acre Wood Selfie Station.
Selfie Station – Daily 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Winnie-the-Pooh – Daily from 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Family Film Fest – Kick back, relax and take a break from the action as you escape to the enchanted world of Pooh in the Eaton Theatre with fantastic family films.

Family Lounge – Sit back, relax and recharge, you’ll need to save up your energy for all the fun that awaits!
